This Wa-Gyuto ( Japanese name for a chef knife ) was handcrafted by our in-house knife master Masaaki Saito here in Brisbane.
Gyuto is a name for Japanese style chef knives.
This knife has a very thinly tapered blade profile behind the edge for making every cut effortless but still has a solid feel because of the volume at the spine.
The blade is made of 12C27 stainless steel well known for amazing edge retention and for its easy maintenance character.
The handle is made of Mahogany and Teak ferrule and the octagonal shape will fits both right / left hand users.
The polished hardwood handle is not just beautiful but gives you an amazing grip and comfortable feel.
This knife is a true workhorse made to get the job done whether you are a professional chef or a home cook loving good food.
