This Wa-Gyuto was handcrafted by our in-house knife master Masaaki Saito here in Brisbane.
Gyuto is a traditional Japanese style chef knife most commonly used in the kitchens in Japan and gaining popularity worldwide.
This knife has medium weight so it suits for someone with a strong grip and the weight of the knife makes the cut super easy.
The 210mm blade is made of 12C27 stainless steel and has 50: 50 universal edge for both hand users whether for home use or in commercial kitchens.
12C27 is a high performance, very reliable knife steel and has an amazing reputation for easy maintenance and long edge life.
The semi octagonal handle is made of Mahogany and Teak ferrule.
The polished natural wooden handles are so comfortable to hold and can add a beautiful colour to the kitchen.
