This Wa-Gyuto ( Japanese name for a chef knife ) was handcrafted by our in-house knife master Masaaki Saito here in Brisbane.
Gyuto is a name for Japanese style chef knives.
This knife has a thinly tapered blade profile towards the edge for making every cut effortless but still has a solid feel because of the volume at the spine.
The medium weight helps cutting as the volume at the spine does the push so you will just need to hold and guide the cutting motions.
The blade is made of 12C27 stainless steel which is known for the great edge retention and for its easy maintenance character.
The octagonally shaped handle ( made of Mahogany ) suits for both right and left hand users.
The polished hardwood handle is not just beautiful but gives you an amazing grip and comfortable feel.
This knife is a true workhorse made to get the job done whether you are a professional chef or a home cook loving good food.
